The only thing I have that isn't plain vanilla Amahi is my own web app called sensors. Sensors is a web page (perl, javascript and html) that displays rrdtool data/graph obtained from cron job that reading 1-wire sensors.
I also run an instantiation of Misterhouse (perl based) on port 8080 for controlling via X10 external lights.
Nothing has changed on either of these and they both work fine and have been since install.

Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
Ok, these could be part of the problem. If when they were installed, http, mysql, or something else could have somehow been modified. That would explain these unusual issues.
We were under the impression there was nothing modified. Adding software that is not configured by Amahi can cause issues. Did you have any issues before installing these non-native Amahi apps?
It is difficult to accurately troubleshoot a modified system as we cannot duplicate the issues. Is it possible to remove these additions to get your system back to original Amahi state?

As I SAID these items have been running for MANY MONTHS and are not the problem.
They have nothing to do with Apache and PHP!
Of course I can remove them and I also can reinstall Amahi completely.
I think we are at the end of this effort and I'll start over. My next post will confirm Amahi reinstalled and running.

Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
Ok, so that means that you had a Fedora 12 machine running with these apps then installed Amahi, correct?
That could be part of the issue. Amahi is designed to go on a fresh Fedora 12 image. I hate for you to have to start over, but does not seem like there is an answer in sight.
Maybe once you do so and all works well, you can reinstall your apps. Hopefully everything will stay working for you.
Sorry this has been painful, it usually is not.

Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
No I have a fully installed Amahi system from a fresh Fedora 12.
Concerning removing my apps. Sensors is easy since Amahi has a delete web-app capability. But there are scripts run by crontab etc. However as you well know just deleting an app isn't that easy. The configuration needs to be restored with 100% confidence Not really possible because after I removed something and it didn't fix the problem you'd be asking if I got everything.
Backing up files now. I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes.

Hello,
Yes, sorry this has been so difficult. The problem is for us to support it needs to be a unmodified version of Fedora and Amahi. There are so many apps and configuration changes done by non-Amahi apps that it's difficult, sometimes impossible to track down the problem.
I hope you understand our intent is not to make this hard. We have had so few issues of this nature, actually can't recall ever seeing this one before. It is highly unusual and hoping the reinstall will result in a working HDA. Then once that is accomplished, you can add back your apps and hopefully everything will continue to work.

Reload Fedora 12, Amahi and my applications - all working!! including Misterhouse and my sensors web app. no changes to any of the configuration.
Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
Awesome....not sure what happened the first time. Glad you got it all working now though. Must have been one of those anomalies.

Hey, why not package Misterhouse and the other app to be used by all too??

Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
I have got this problem too.
I think it was all ok until I added a second hard disk and moved the /var/hda/files to the second hard disk.
My suspicion is that it is in someway related to the edit I made of the fstab which I did when following the wiki advice on adding a new hard drive.
Does this sound feasible as a cause? If so then I'll copy my fstab here and see if we can figure what I did wrong.
TIA
