All is not well

Postby JasonWard » Tue Nov 02, 2010 4:32 pm

So I got it up and running, and so far I really like it except every application I've installed so far has some kind of error :o

http://loganalyzer.home.com/statistics.php gives me
JpGraph Error: This PHP installation is not configured with the GD library. Please recompile PHP with GD support to run JpGraph. (Neither function imagetypes() nor imagecreatefromstring() does exist)
http://phpman.home.com/ gives me
This page is used to test the proper operation of the Apache HTTP server after it has been installed. If you can read this page, it means that the web server installed at this site is working properly, but has not yet been configured.

etc
http://phpsysinfo.home.com/index.php?disp=dynamic gives me
checkForExtensions phpSysInfo requires the mbstring extension to php in order to work properly.
http://mediawiki.home.com/ gives me
MediaWiki internal error.

Exception caught inside exception handler
So, should I raise these as bugs? Or has something gone horribly wrong with my install?

Something has possibly gone wrong with the install. Have you done Fedora 12 updates?

Also, please post any errors form the /var/log/amahi-app-install.log here so we can troubleshoot.

Update:

Sorry the log name has been corrected.

How exactly did you install?

Can you tell exactly in which ways did you deviate from the standard install instructions?

Agree with bigfoot65 - some errors may show up in that log.

I did headless CDExpress install.

I have performed no updates (I don't know how in Fedora).

As for the log :?:
[root@localhost ~]# cat /var/log/amahi-app.install.log

However if I look in the "Amahi Application Installer Log" as made available to me by the parts of LogAnalyser that work I can see things like this

Can you attach a copy of the install log. It is called hda-install.log I believe and located in ~ dir.

[root@localhost ~]# yum update
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
Error: Cannot retrieve metalink for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again
Still doesn't seem to want to work.

Try a yum clean all. If that don't work, then it looks like there is a connectivity problem possibly.
