Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server error
Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
Nothing helpful there. This is Fedora 12, installed from DVD right?

Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
Near as I can tell, this is due to the PHP module not being loaded by apache.
That is something that indicates either something fundamental is broken or has been messed up with.
You said there were no modifications. Only other choice is something is broken with the hardware that broke the software?
This seems unrelated to Amahi.
(It's also the first time we ever heard of this)

Yes, Fedora 12 was installed right off the iso DVD
This one is a real head scratcher, I looked at the http conf files. No changes made and they show the Add Handler .php as well as +ExecCGI directives.
I'm not opposed to some drastic measures like reinstalling stuff. My biggest issue is losing/backing up files since it takes so long.

I may have already asked this, but have you done Fedora 12 updates? This is a real head scratcher for me too. We have checked all the obvious things.
Did you follow the install guidance on the amahi.org website during install? Wonder if your Fedora 12 DVD was corrupt. Did you verify it was ok during install? It has a check option to ensure all packages are good.
I recently had an experience where mine was corrupt, but install still proceeded. This can cause issues obviously.

Just checked software updates - none available
Amahi install (my memory) was exactly as scripted and went without problem.
I don't remember if I checked the media on install but I just did a check media via the Fedora install and the DVD passed.
I also don't remember any problems during the actual install everything went smoothly as I recall.

There is definitely something strange going on, just not sure if we can find it. We will jsut have to keep troubleshooting and maybe we will get lucky.
If not, the only thing I know would be to do a reinstall. I really would like to find the source of the problem though.

Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
I kinda would like to understand the problem also and not just reinstall. Reinstalling kinda seems like a cop-out. However I'm running out of ideas.
It is clear the problem is Apache and PHP though. If I remove .php from AddHandler directive in httpd.conf I no longer get a 500 error (of course).
What would happen if I did the following (one or both)
yum reinstall httpd
yum reinstall php
would it break Amahi?

Understand. I am unsure, but reinstalling those 2 packages might break things. Usually any settings that are not default are lost.
Did you find any other logs that might help pinpoint this issue. Forgot to ask if this is a stand alone machine or VM. Sometimes VMs behave strangely.

Understand, a settings change on upgrade has been in the back of my mind.
I have exhausted every log that I can think of/ find.
It is a standalone machine. An older dual-core AMD pc.

Re: Frustrating lack of answers/ideas to Internal server err
Is there anything you can think of that has occurred since you installed the machine. For example, did you change any settings anywhere? Is advanced settings in the dashboard enabled?
