Different browsers and Amahi dashboard search

Hello,

Another thing about the dashboard search: The ability to open or save the files that are found, depends on the browser you use. I've posted this as an answer in another thread (http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1845), but that seems to have stalled and it probably 'deserves' it's own thread, anyway.

My default browser is Opera and I cannot open (or save) any of the found files. Same goes for Firefox. The only browser that I've tested that works is IE8. Go figure. Here are the results from 'clicking' on a file within the three browsers:

Opera(10.62) tries to open:

file://localhost/C:///hda/Music/Amy%20MacDonald/Amy%20MacDonald%20(2007)%20-%20This%20Is%20the%20Life%20~/Amy%20MacDonald%20-%20This%20Is%20the%20Life%20-%2001%20-%20Mr.%20Rock%20&%20Roll.flac .

Nothing happens. The '%20' (ASCII 'space') are probably fine, but the "file://localhost/C:///" part isn't.

Firefox (3.6.6):

Again nothing happens. "file://///hda" probably isn't correct.

Microsoft IE8:

Now it asks me to open or save the file and both actions work correct.

Sorry for the hard to read lines, but they are cut & paste examples from an actual file.

Is this something that is 'fixable' from the Amahi side?

No one?? I can't imagine that i have to use IE8 just to open files on the Amahi dashboard. That somehow seems 'weird'....

If it was just Opera (although it usually behaves very good), but Firefox should work, shouldn't it?
Maybe someone else could try this to see if the problem is the same?

I tried Firefox 3.6.10 and have the same issue. I personally don't use the search so would have never come across this problem.

If you have not already done so, please file a bug at http://bugs.amahi.org. We have a lot going on right now, so can't estimate when this will get worked.
