DLNA Server update testing 0.91-8

Postby cpg » Tue Aug 31, 2010 3:43 am

Hi, can you help test this pre-release of an update of DLNA server?

rpm -Uvh on one of these:

Code: Select all

64bits - http://alpha.amahi.org/tmp/amahi-dlna-0.91-8.x86_64.rpm 32bits - http://alpha.amahi.org/tmp/amahi-dlna-0.91-8.i686.rpm
It has improvements for handling NFO files (what would this do), among other small stability improvements and some new support for Microsoft clients.
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 8GB RAM, 1TBx2+3TBx1

I come from the land of Ubuntu, so I'm not as well versed in rpm & yum (I vaguelly remember it from my last forray into FC, somewhere around FC3 or 4, IIRC). But yum list | grep dlna gives me

amahi-dlna.i686 0.91-8 installed
libdlna.i586 0.2.3-12.fc11 rpmfusion-free
libdlna-devel.i586 0.2.3-12.fc11 rpmfusion-free

so I'm going to say it installed OK. The Apps tab on the HDA control panel reports version 1.0.16.2 for the DLNA package. As for testing, I'll have to get back to you after I play a few hours of music. I can tell you right away that it doesn't resolve the previously mentioned Xbox/DivX/DLNA issues, though.
