ACL Error with iAmpache and Ampache on Amahi

I'm not sure if this is the form to ask questions about ampache, but here goes.

The install of Ampache appears to have gone well. I can click on it from the Dashboad. It loads properly. I can login. I was able to import music or point it at the right folder anyway.

It found the music, even displays some of the cover art. All good.

However, when I installed iAmpache (an iphone app), when I point it at the server with the IP, it says, "Failed to Connect to Ampache Server - Ampache Server reports: ACL Error". I tried following the instructions here:

But it did not make a difference. Also, Amahi is running 3.5.4 so no configuration is necessary.

Is there a firewall enabled by default for the Amahi server? Could that be the issue? I can chase this down with Ampache too, I just thought I'd ask here in case someone had come across this already. Thanks.

I am not an ampache user, however, no, there is no firewall running by default in your HDA.

You need to create an RPC ACL.

Log in as admin
Navigate to the Admin page (it is the icon right next to the puzzle piece)
Click 'Add ACL'
Put in a name, select ACL type = RPC, Start = 0.0.0.0, End = 255.255.255.255, Level = All
Click Update

Wow, I didn't look at your whole post before I posted a reply. I am assuming you did what was in the link, and I am blind for not seeing it until I posted my reply...

If that doesn't work, I don't know what the problem would be.

Thanks for the advice. I did already try that. It is odd. I'll keep playing with it. If I figure something out, I'll post my solution here in case someone else has this trouble.

That worked perfectly for me, thank you very much! Had the same issue with the ACL error but am now able to stream my music to the ipod.
