Squeezebox music file location?
I am trying to setup the squeezebox server but it doesn't see the share folder I created for my music. I created a share in the directory /media/sdb1/music. Squeezebox only sees /music but not /music/sdb1. Anyone have a thoughts?
Re: Squeezebox music file location?
i just tried squeeze server, and it offers a browser of the file system, at the linux level, _not_ shares.
now, i did not follow your issue in irc, because i had to leave, but it seems now pretty clear that there is a permissions issue going on.
this path, /media/sdb1/music, seem rather weird, though.
i realized maybe the diskmounter script mounted it there?
maybe if you can paste the file /etc/fstab here or in the http://paste.amahi.org we can help you more?

Re: Squeezebox music file location?
yes, as long as it's mounted in fstab, then the squeezebox setup is as easy as it comes. you simply select the location during the initial setup.

Re: Squeezebox music file location?
I have it all squared away now. I had some permissions issues with the share. With the help of some IRC folk I was able to change the permissions of the share to be exactly the same as the shares that are setup during installation of Amahi. Once the permissions were right, squeezebox could see the folder.
