apache running, but no connection to hda (only filsharing)

Hi forum

Huge problem that I need help with:
Suddenly after trying to get the apache server to route outside connections to a virtual directory, the whole thing stopped working. No Amahi web-apps, no control panel, no connections from outside to formerly known working virt. dirs.
Hooked a screen up to my headless and found out that the http-service is running. I am new to linux, and have very limited skills when i comes to typing commands in terminal. Any other way to get a look at what´s going on with apache??? Something wrong with the conf.-file maybe???
I have 21 students waiting to get on with their assign task on our wiki hosted by this machine.

Please help!!! :-)

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this.
Having problems with connecting to the internet? Try the Network Troubleshooter.

Not sure what your Gateway IP? Head on over to the Find Your Gateway IP page to find out easily.

Thank you for the reply, and sorry if I´m not clear enough...

I would like some help getting the web-interface of Amahi up and running again.
Tried to explain how the trouble started, and what I had done so far...

The apache server is running, but no connection to Amahi web interface inside my local network.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Did not se how it could fit in any of the others...?

I am not sure of what all you have done? Why do you need to setup anything to get it to work before? It works out of the box by going to http://hda or http://serveripaddress
Having problems with connecting to the internet? Try the Network Troubleshooter.

Thats it!! It does not work like that anymore. The only thing working now is the filesharing in my network. Everyting else "died". I cannot use the http://hda or http://10.0.1.10. Not even from the Amahi-box itself.... get a kind og 404-error
That´s kind of why I´m here now... :-)

Is there a way to fix the install without overwriting the dokuwiki database, or am I waisting my, and your time here... :-)

I figured it out. The apache server was trying to open a log file that was in directory I had deleted. Had about a million entries in the logfile stating this. Deleted the conf-file concerning this directory, and problem solved. Guess I need to be a bit more carefull with apache. Didn´t think it was that fragile :?
