I have a 3TB USB HDD formatted as EXT4 with DOS partition table (tried gpt in disk wizard but failed saying gpt not supported). Server works great and I can access the drive from all my devices. I was wondering how to take the drive from the Amahi server and plug directly into another computer and access the files and folders. I shutdown server, pulled it, and plugged it into my ubuntu 16 pc and i saw the drive but no files. A couple reasons I want to do this are...
1. To do a mass usb transfer of 1TB of files from a current USB drive to the server drive as fast as possible.
2. As a safety net to know that if my amahi server crashes and I need something I can just plug the drive into a computer and get what I need.
Use hdd formatted by Amahi directly as USB on another computer

Did you mount the drive? Plugging it into the OS does not necessarily mount the drive for use. There are many tutorials on the internet for mounting a USB drive in Linux.I shutdown server, pulled it, and plugged it into my ubuntu 16 pc and i saw the drive but no files.
The file system is compatible with any Linux OS. Also if you use Windows, there is software that allows for reading of Linux file systems. As a safety net to know that if my amahi server crashes and I need something I can just plug the drive into a computer and get what I need.
