I just finished setting up a new amahi server.
The server currently has a 2 TB HDD and I have another 2 TB to go in once I have things set.
The problem is when I try to move my files.
I networked to the HDA and started moving files and it tells me that I haven't enough room.
After install this is what the partitions look like.
Partition Total Free Used Mount Point
/dev/sda1 476 MB 357 MB 90.1 MB (21%) /boot
/dev/sda3 49.1 GB 44.8 GB 1.82 GB (4%) /
/dev/sda5 1.74 TB 1.65 TB 67.6 MB (1%) /home
It appears that the shared folders ALL go to var\hda\files\ which is located on the dev/sda3 partition.
This means that the TOTAL usable space is 44 GB
I try o create new shares to use the home directory and it won't allow. All new shares go to var\hda\etc etc
Is this just me, or is this a major bug!
I've reinstalled numerous time, but every time it comes up with the same settings.
Any way of making this work or do I have to reinstall and manually make the sda3 partition larger?
Also I gather its not going to be that easy to add additional drives like I hoped...
Any clues?
New setup and no space
Re: New setup and no space
What install guidance did you follow? We recommend not using LVM and not having a home partition in the guidance.
All shares are located there by default, but you can change the location via the dashboard. There is no bug.All new shares go to var\hda\etc etc Is this just me, or is this a major bug!
There is manual guidance in the wiki or you can use the disk-wizard App.Also I gather its not going to be that easy to add additional drives like I hoped...

Re: New setup and no space
Thanks for your reply.
I just getting a little frustrated with amahi.
I found there are 2 guides.
wiki.amahi.org/index.php/amahi_8_install
and
wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Fedora_21_Server_Install
They do differr from each other.
I went by the amahi_8_install primarily.
One says to set a root password and other says not to.
One says to add some commands regarding Fedora 21 upstream updates the other doesn't
I'll try reinstalling again and this time I'll manually partition with no home partition, even though it does automatically create one.
THis time I'll try the Fedora 21 install guide.
Wish me luck!

Re: New setup and no space
There are two guides for a reason. One is the recommended minimal install while the other is for Full DVD. We recommend only the Full DVD if you are having hardware issues with the other.I just getting a little frustrated with amahi. I found there are 2 guides.
If you follow the guidance, there should be no /home partition created. There are screen shots and the guidance is very detailed. It has been thoroughly tested and very few users have had problems as I recall.
There may be a /home directory, but it should not be it's own disk partition. Not sure what is tripping you up. Maybe you can provide some feedback on where you are having difficulty.
