Hello,
I installed Amahi 8 and it was successful. However, my IP address in the amahi control panel end with .79 and it shows on my router as ending in .220. When i go to 192.168.1.220 it works, but the .79 does not. Also, it still says "waiting to install" on my control panel. Lastly, I can see all the apps in "setup" but when I "install" an app it never actually installs. What gives? I used the new install code and it went through.
Troubleshooting I've done -
Installed the full version - did not work - so i tried the basic version - still nothing.
Please help!

Have you turned off the router DHCP and DNS server? If not, the router is assigning the IP address it chooses.
Try that and reboot your HDA. You may need to reboot your router too.

I will try that. I did not have to do that for Amahi 7. When I did attempt it with Amahi 7, i couldn't get the internet to work so I factory reset my router and then it worked. I'll try this in a few days when I have time away from work and get back to you, unless you have any further advice for now.
I have an ASUS - RT-AC68U router.

Should not have to factory reset the router. There is something else going on with your network if that is the case.

Can I re-install Amahi 7 and then try to upgrade to 8? Or is Amahi 7 no longer supported.

I just manually assigned my IP address to match the one in my Amahi Control panel. I can access it, but the control pane still says "waiting to install" and when installing apps, they just cycle and never install.

I reinstalled Amahi 7 and it worked. Not sure if Amahi 8 still has bugs, but i am just going to stick with 7.
Re: INSTALLED AMAHI 8 FROM SCRATCH - IP ADDRESS IS DIFFERENT
Understand. There are no bugs in Amahi 8 that we are aware.
Be aware Amahi 7 is no longer supported, so you won't see any updates with the platform or apps.

Re: INSTALLED AMAHI 8 FROM SCRATCH - IP ADDRESS IS DIFFERENT
well... I went ahead and re-installed 8, but this time, I went into my router to find out what IP address was being assigned to my HDA and then I chose that as my IP as I was creating my Profile and it worked!
