CLOSED: Upgrade amahi 7 to 8

Postby kikkegek » Fri Sep 18, 2015 11:44 am

He guys.

Upgrade went fine so far. Now the system has been sitting at this screen for about 20 in.

An I just reset the hda by hardware button safely?

Rebooted the hda and all is fine

The sudo yum check
Gave me the two errors on the packages.

Why should or should I not remove them?

he guys,

suc6......man that went smooth...not one error and I even forgot to uninstall all my aps and everything is running smooth. all appas are still working:

sabnzbdplus
sickrage
transmisssion

shares are available...

I just see absolutely no change in the interface...its the same as in Amahi7.

still wondering if I need to remove the two bad packages or not like you guys metioned in the upgrade guide or not?

Good to hear.

Yes the interface looks pretty much the same. We have a new theme in the works.

As for removing those packages, please follow the wiki guidance. We noted that step for a reason.

Thanks for understanding.

I am sure all will be fine. If not, then will have to diagnose any issues. We strongly discourage the upgrade, but hopefully it pays off for you. I am sure you saw the disclaimer in the wiki.
