Accessing shares on server from Nautilus and Openoffice

The server I set up for my son will also be on of their workstations. I have installed Openoffice. Also Acrobat reader.

Of course, I have been helping them move all their files off their notebook onto \\hda\docs and they want to access these docs 'easily' on the server. There is /var/hda/files/doc, but I was wondering if there was a way to show them as available shares as on their XP notebook?

I guess I should have posted this in the File Sharing Forum...

add

browseable=yes

to samba.conf under the share you want to show. this will show in network neighbourhood.
