SOLVED: Installation issues

Postby jtello87 » Tue Feb 24, 2015 6:54 am

Hi guys,
unfortunately I have been unable to install Amahi since yesterday, I keep getting and error when I boot from the cd/dvd. the error that comes up says something like "not enough memory......" then below it it says "boot". i haven't tried must other than the options on the installer, but i always seem to get the same error.
The computer im trying to install Amahi is an Intel core duo @ 3.0mhz, 8gb ram and 500gb hard drive. nothing in the hard drive except this copy of windows.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks! :D

The Express CD troubleshooting guidance might help. You also can consider trying Amahi 7 Full DVD as well.

Hi Bigfoot65,

After 5 hours of trying a number of methods I came across a post on the fedora site from 2011 about this issue. It has something to do with a setting called "memory hole" in the bios. To resolve this all I had to do was disable that setting and voila! Now since I created a number of partitions thinking it had something to do with hdd space or the dvds or the full install iso I was using I'm currently formatting the hdd and will install Amahi fresh. Will let you know how I go with take 2.

Thanks for your help.

Juan
