Amahi Install - 0.147 No IRQ handler for vector (IRQ -1)

Postby arbitarytwist » Sun Jan 25, 2015 8:20 pm

Trying to install Amahi on a E2200 Core 2 Duo with a ASRock 4 Core Dual Sata 2 Mobo.

Everything seems to install OK, but i keep getting error: 0.147 No IRQ Handler for Vector (IRQ -1).

After that it comes to a login screen with ubuntu login and password.

Is this a driver error ? Not an expert on linux, so just getting my feet wet with this stuff.

Might be.

Ubuntu is no longer supported for Amahi. It's in maintenance support status.

Recommend you try Amahi 7 on Fedora 19.

I am not running Ubuntu. Just ran the install from the amahi cd for v7.

I had xpenology on the system before and used Ubuntu via USB to copy files to a External drive. I deleted all partitions with gpart and then started amahi install from disk.

Not sure where is Ubuntu coming from.

I thought you were using Ubuntu based on this comment from your initial post.

You may need to use the Amahi 7 full DVD.

I still get the error, but i am trying to go through the install. Everytime i press the back or anything while typing a command, the error populates. Anyway to tell which piece of hardware its tied to?

Also stuck @ "rpm -Uvh http://f19.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release ... noarch.rpm"

I reckon the path is different for Version 7 ?

It could be a BIOS issue too. Heard the UEFI causes problems with some users.

The RPM is correct for Amahi 7. It's Fedora 19 as indicated. Any Amahi updates will automatically be installed if needed.

I still get the irq errors when i look at the monitor, but everything seems to be ok. I had the RPM typed in incorrectly (duh).

So got the install all done. I turned the DHCP and DNS off as i would like to run them on my router and don't intend to run AMAHI 24/7.

Now trying to install apps, i get "There are no applications available at this time". Not sure why this is ? Do i need to change anything else.

I can ping the HDA. Not sure how i can check the network connectivity to the HDA. I don't see a way to check it when i goto http://hda

Probably means there is no network connectivity. You can check out the Network Troubleshooting guidance in the wiki.
