Did you do the first line in my post? Have to do that first so it will see the new version. The old version was probably removed.
EDIT: Since you removed Greyhole, you will have to do install vs update once you clean metadata. It should see the new version.
SOLVED: Trying to upgrade to 7. Totally lost.

Re: Trying to upgrade to 7. Totally lost.
That is odd. I just tested it and worked for me. Makes me think the repo update has not made it to your area yet.
Try doing the yum clean metadata again. Then do yum update and see if it picks up the new platform. If that works, then the new amahi-greyhole should install.
If nothing is new, you may have to give it a few hours to get to you.

Re: Trying to upgrade to 7. Totally lost.
As I mentioned, the updates have not reached your area. Once they do, you will be able to install the new amahi-greyhole. Best thing I can say is keep trying over the next few hours.
In your /etc/greyhole.conf, ensure you add /gh to all your storage pool drives. That is the root cause of your issue. You left that part off.
Please let me know once you can get it installed and if this corrected your issue.

Re: Trying to upgrade to 7. Totally lost.
In the mean time, here's version 0.9.58 that you can install manually. Do the following as root user:
This will get you back up and running. Then once the repo update makes it to you, you can update to the latest version which is 0.9.60.
Code: Select all
rpm -Uvh http://ppf.4f.sl.pt

You saw my previous post with the alternate way to get amahi-greyhole installed, right? It will get you back up and running.

Yes you are close. The drives being offline is something I have seen before. I will try to remember what the cause was and let you know.

Re: Trying to upgrade to 7. Totally lost.
Ok, ensure each drive has the /gh folder present and it's owned by your 1st admin user:users. I see you using 1000:users. Is that equate to your 1st admin user?
I am unsure what else it could be.

Re: Trying to upgrade to 7. Totally lost.
I am unsure if that is accurate, but it may be the same as 1st admin user. Would recommend you change the 1000 to 1st admin user instead and see if that helps.
I have always used the user name and it's always worked fine for me.
If that makes a difference, we will change the wiki.
I have seen other users that have used
or whatever you called it for migrating drives. It has made a difference, so might be worth a shot.
There is just a lot of strangeness going on with your setup for some reason. Trying to understand why and how to fix it.

Re: Trying to upgrade to 7. Totally lost.
BTW, we released the Greyole UI. It has a convenience fee, so you will have to log in to amahi.org and purchase before you can see it as available in your HDA.
https://www.amahi.org/apps/greyhole-ui
It might help with your issues as well. Just a thought.

Re: Trying to upgrade to 7. Totally lost.
So far, testing has shown it works well. Beware it will remove your current settings.
I recommend uninstalling amahi-greyhole before installing the plugin. Keeps it cleaner and reconfigure it all from the UI.
