I’m an experienced Windows user, but am new to both Linux and Amahi.
My goal is to use my old desktop as an Amahi NAS that functions as the primary data storage for our house (PCs, mobiles). I would then like to back up the Amahi HDA to CrashPlan’s online backup paid service for off-site backup. I’ve seen the app and a few threads discussing CrashPlan on Amahi as a local/free backup, but is it possible to run the off-site/paid CrashPlan on Amahi?
I believe there is a way to back up NAS drives to CrashPlan via the CrashPlain app in Windows with a batch file, but I would like to bypass that and just have it run natively on Amahi.
I fear this may be a very basic question, so feel free to just point me in the right direction to get me started. Thanks.
CrashPlan paid cloud backup?
Re: CrashPlan paid cloud backup?
Yes you can use the Amahi app with a paid subscription. Should be transparent as it relies on your Crashplan login credentials I believe.

Re: CrashPlan paid cloud backup?
Thank you for the quick response!
What are the differences between the Amahi app and the standard CrashPlan Linux install process?
http://support.code42.com/CrashPlan/Lat ... _CrashPlan
Are they the same applications, with the Amahi app packaged for quick installation?

Yes pretty much. That Amahi version integrates with HDA somewhat.
