Installation using wireless internet...can't connect

Postby ameans474 » Thu May 01, 2014 12:01 am

Trying to install Amahi on my old laptop. However when starting the install my wireless network cannot be found. It only has a wired option, but I live in a duplex where the upstairs tenant has the router, so I only have a wireless connection.

Similarly whenever I installed Ubuntu, I needed to perform some extra steps to install the wireless drivers. The file was located on the live cd so it was a simple fix. But with Amahi, the install code wont work because it cant connect to the internet (I assume). Is there a way around this? Or does Amahi require a wired connection for installation?

My computer is a Dell Studio I555 laptop with a broadcom wifi adapter.

Thanks!

Please note the hardware requirements.

Your machne MUST be hard wired. Sorry, we do not support installation on wireless connections.
