Can't Reach https://hda/

Postby KeithChambers » Sun Apr 20, 2014 5:08 pm

Hello, I've installed Amahi via Express CD(Twice) to the point where installation has finished and i've rebooted to a console asking me to login(Which I have)

It didn't really reboot again once it got into this screen I don't think even though i'm fairly sure its meant to... How long are you meant to wait for that?

Anyway I can't log into https://hda/ and my server status is waiting for installation...

I think the fact that the computer didn't reboot itself is the cause for this but I waited for around 15-20 mins just staring at a login console... Surely it can't take much longer than that.

Any thoughts?

The dashboard ishttp://hda not https.

You can try the network troubleshooter to see if it point to an issue.

Also if the reboots are not happening with the Express CD, you may need to do the full DVD install. Some hardware driver compability issues often cause problems with the Express CD install.

OK, so I downloaded Fedora 19, installed it etc.. fine but when I try to get the amahi repository it says:

curl: (6) Could not resolve host: f19.amahi.org; Unknown error
error: skipping http://f19.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release ... noarch.rpm - transfer failed

I was logged in as root and everything.

The only thing I didn't do from the instructions was disable DHCP on my router, is that important?
I already have a static ip.

You may have lost internet connection. Try rebooting it again and see if you can access the internet. I had that happen to me once and the reboot fixed it.

You can also try this as root user:

Code: Select all

systemctl restart network
Once that is resolved, the rest of the install should go smooth. You were correct to not turn off your router DHCP. It needs to remain on until Amahi is installed and working.
