SOLVED: Greyhole Backup Question
SOLVED: Greyhole Backup Question
I've got Greyhole set up and working correctly but I'd like to backup my "Docs" share to Google Drive so I have an offsite backup. I'm using Duplicity for incremental backups and it seems to work just fine but only if I point it directly at /var/hda/drives/drive3/gh/Docs/ since it doesn't follow symlinks. This concerns me because I know Greyhole writes files to different drives depending on certain parameters. Is there a better way to do this?
Re: Greyhole Backup Question
That's the point of the mount_shares_locally script.

Re: Greyhole Backup Question
Great! I will try that. Thanks!
Re: Greyhole Backup Question
I followed the instructions but all the directories in /mnt/samba/ (Docs, Games, Music, etc...) are empty. I believe I have used the correct credentials in .smb_credentials (same user/pass I entered when installing Amahi) but I wasn't sure about the domain. Should I be using the "Home Domain" listed in my Amahi control panel or the workgroup name listed under Shares/Settings on my Amahi server's configuration page? I've tried both (restarting the service after each change) but have had no success.
Re: Greyhole Backup Question
Never mind. I didn't have cifs-utils installed but it never threw an error for some reason. Looks good now.
Re: Greyhole Backup Question
Cool. Yes the script may not error out, but just won't work.
