Hi, as I recall I took the default of amahi.net - that shows up in my control panel at amahi.org, is this correct?

I have turned off the DHCP server on my router - is there anything further I can do to ensure DNS comes from HDA?

Yes that is correct. Check the clients to ensure the are receiving DNS from the HDA. Should show with config.

Looks correct.
If http://router does not work then check what IP address is assigned to the alias in dashboard networking tab.

Under DNA Alias it is 192.168.1.254. Everything else is 192.168.1.10 for the HDA.

Sounds like it's working correctly.
If you still have issues clear the browser cache or try a different one. I have the best luck with Firefox.

Hmmmm, maybe I need a new hobby.

Laptop was good, turned it on and off three times, all good. Tonight no web access working from laptop. Desktop PC and mobile devices all fine. Reboot, power down - nothing. Reconfigure to use router all OK.

Desktop and mobile devices all OK except http://router takes me elsewhere as above.

The only thing the interactive test throws up is

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600]
(c) 2013 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\David>nslookup hda.amahi.net
Server: hda.amahi.net
Address: 192.168.1.10

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: hda.amahi.net.amahi.net
Address: 208.115.201.197

I am struggling to see how DNS can be coming elsehere, DHCP in router is off, and below looks to me like its coming from HDA?

Agreed. I do not know what else to recommend. You are not using iPV6 I presume. Amahi does not support it currently.

Everything else works except the laptop? If that is the case, then may just have to try and eliminate one thing at a time. Eventually you will find the problem.

Have configured Laptop to use router - as long as its secure I can live with the benefits on all the other devices.

Just installed Amahi Anyhwere - just awesome, and so simple. Loosing my frustration in not being able to solve the niggles with the benefits.
