Installation problem because of wrong name of NIC?

Postby pixelkit » Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:55 pm

Hello,

I just wanted to ask help on installing Amahi on my computer.

The install goes well until it asks for the Amahi install code. After entering the correct code, it just waits on "running post-installation scripts" and asks again for an install code. I double checked my network settings and making sure the ip that's found on the control panel matched.

From a bit of Googling, I think I found the culprit that my network card is not named eth0 but "enp0s4". I only have one NIC card inside the computer and can't seem to get it renamed to eth0

I'm not sure if that's totally the problem or I'm doing something else wrong I hope someone could help me out with this problem

Thanks in advance

The name of the network card should not matter. Amahi recognizes the card and simulates it as eth0 if needed. Recommend you check your install media to ensure its good.

Also please provide a few more details such as what Amahi version you are trying to install, error messages, etc.
