Install seemed to go OK. I log into my HDA and everything says "no documents found".
I told Amahi to install itself on the first drive and to ignore the other two drives to keep it from deleting the media I want Amahi to host for me.
What did I do wrong? How do I make Amahi see all that stuff?
Amahi Can't See My Media
Re: Amahi Can't See My Media
Need more details.
First what OS?
Secondly, best if you install with only one drive connected. Then once Amahi is up and running, you can connect the others. You will have to mount them manually as described in the wiki.
https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Adding ... o_your_HDA
Then you will need to point the shares to your data or move your data into the shares.

Re: Amahi Can't See My Media
Do you mean the OS I'm using to connect to Amahi? Or the OS of Amahi? I thought Amahi was the OS. I used the headless install.
Will mounting the drive wipe them? If not, why doesn't Amahi just see the drives and connect them?
Command line? Did I just step out of a Delorean? Nevermind. Not worth it. Windows won't make me jump through hoops like this. Not looking for something that's harder to use.
This why Linux is still not ready for prime time. Instead of one working OS, they duplicate effort making pet flavors, ensuring none of them will be able to compete. Having to deal with command line == instant failure. It's 2014, not 1994.
Flame away. I'm deleting this account. Amahi wasted several hours of my life.
If your software isn't ready for release... work on until it is.

Re: Amahi Can't See My Media
Amahi is an add on to an OS, in this case Fedora 19. It's not it's own distro.Do you mean the OS I'm using to connect to Amahi? Or the OS of Amahi? I thought Amahi was the OS. I used the headless install.
No it will just make them available to Amahi and the OS.Will mounting the drive wipe them? If not, why doesn't Amahi just see the drives and connect them?
Most linux servers require some command line. If you are looking for all GUI, Amahi might not be for you. Consider checking out OpenMediaVault distro. It is pretty much GUI driven for everything from a web browser.Command line? Did I just step out of a Delorean? Nevermind. Not worth it. Windows won't make me jump through hoops like this. Linux works quite well for those who know how to use it. Expecting it to be all GUI driven for FREE is ludicrous. Using command line has nothing to do with today versus the past decades, it's normal for Linux and most server platforms. I have worked with many server OS in the corporate world and most require command line. This why Linux is still not ready for prime time. Sorry you feel you have wasted your time. Perhaps putting in more research before jumping into something would be best for you.Flame away. I'm deleting this account. Amahi wasted several hours of my life.

Amahi is ready for release, but obviously you are not ready for Amahi. We have thousands of users who work with Amahi as their home server every day. While we do have some rough edges to polish, it's not as bad as you have indicated. For a product that is pretty much FREE, it works quite well for many home users.
