SOLVED: DHCP Server Missing

Postby jalink » Sun Jan 19, 2014 6:56 pm

I've been using Amahi for a couple years, original install was easy and the system was stable. I decided to re-install using the Amahi 7 Express disk and I keep having DHCP problems. It installed cleanly with a new code, rebooted twice, but when I shut off DHCP on my router and reboot my devices, I can't get an IP address. DHCP is enabled under Network -> Settings, but under Settings -> Servers only Apache, DNS, MySQL, and FileServer are listed - no DHCP. Am I missing something?

On Amahi 7 Dashboard the DHCP setting are in a different location.

Go to Amahi Dashboard.

Select Settings/Details - Under global Setting make sure Advance Settings is Ticked.

Next Go to Network/Settings - Tick DHCP & DNS.

Disable DHCP and your router then reboot your HDA, then reboot each computer your network and your HDA should dish out the IP Address.
