after following the instructions for manual greyhole installation I think this could have messed things up (?). Is this vfs objects usage really necessary? I also think that some special character get messed up when this is added via the GUI Web interface:

Thanks for the quick response bigfoot65. I looked in my /etc/groups file and yea the first user i created when setting up amahi is 'mfs34' in the users group. After recursively chown'ing the drives directory I'm still getting the same problems. I'll try again with the group users this time like this:

I'm still thinking that this has something to do with that vfs objects showing in my config. I'm noticing that Pats does not have this information in his config file :/

Just confirmed that deleting the offending lines there solved my problem!

The lines with the ? and ^M are needed. Remove the ? and ^M as those should not be there.

They are the result of you doing copy and paste from the wiki most likely.

Yep. That's something I've noticed in the past. Whatever CRM the wiki is set up on has serious formatting issues inside of code boxes. They should be pure text, so you can copy and paste them in. Since I'm guessing it would be impossible (or at least more hassle than worth) to change the code boxes to pure text, could we put some type of warning up on the wiki about needing to copy and paste the code into a text editor and remove the formatting, prior to pasting it into your editor/terminal?

It's some issue with the template. I am tempted to go back to the way we used to do it. May work that as I have time.
