Help/Reference for DHCP, Static Names, etc

Postby hec1152 » Tue Oct 22, 2013 6:15 am

Hi, I'm trying to assign static names to some of the devices on my network. I notice that I have many entries generated by Amahi of the for hxx.mydoman.intranet. How do I eliminate all of these and start over setting my own static ip names first? Perhaps a reference to some info on assigning static names, how the hxx names are created, etc would suffice for me to figure this out myself. Thanks in advance.

Those are DHCP leases handed out by the server. To set static, check for the tab in Networking labled 'Fixed'. It is there that you set static IPs for clients. Once they are set, the original leases will disappear over time.

Recommend you check out the videos posted on https://www.amahi.org/videos that may help.
