Hey forum. I've recently moved and in the process switched involuntarily from Comcrap to Centuryfink. While I didn't have a static ip from Comcrap, my ip tended to be consistent for months at a time. Thus, I hosted a test server for clients of mine to access websites on port 8080. I would just link them to my m.y.i.p:8080/client/website while I was working with them to build the site. I have this hosted on a dedicated server (not my Amahi server).
I had to move in a hurry and when I set this up at my new location through Centuryfink, I discovered they were cycling my ip at about every three to six hours. Naturally, this makes my former method of doing things completely unworkable. I also have a couple works in progress, one of which is supposed to launch on Wednesday. So this is an unexpected curveball and really time critical.
I found the tutorial on how to host a website at username.myhda.com on the Amahi server. . . But what I need to figure out how to do in a hurry is host username.myhda.com on a DIFFERENT machine on the same network. Can this be done? More gracefully then with some silly hack like setting up an ssh tunnel to bind port 8080 on the Amahi machine to port 8080 on the webserver?
EDIT: I suppose I could use iptables to forward ports. Even this seems little more clunky than I'd like.

Not sure this is possible. You could subscribe to one of the free Dynamic DNS services such as no-ip.org for your web server. That would eliminate the need to mess with the Amahi Server.

For the record, this just works. You don't have to configure anything on Amahi. Just forward port 80 (in my case 8080) to the host machine.

Of course it does, duh. It was so simple I missed it. Run Web server on client and forward port 80 to it's IP address will result in a Web page.
Sorry I overlooked the obvious.
