Check in /usr/share, /etc. and /var/lib for files. There should be a monitorix directory.

Ok, I went through everything. Even did this:

homeserver@homeserver-Z68MA-D2H-B3:~$ sudo find / -name '*monitorix*'
/usr/share/monitorix
/usr/share/monitorix/cgi/monitorix.conf.path
/etc/logrotate.d/monitorix
/etc/monitorix.conf
/etc/apache2/conf.d/monitorix.conf
/etc/sysconfig/monitorix
/var/lib/dpkg/info/monitorix.list
/var/lib/dpkg/info/monitorix.postrm
/var/lib/monitorix
/var/cache/apt/archives/monitorix_3.1.0-izzy1_all.deb
/var/hda/dbs/130517-165053-monitorix.sql.bz2
/var/hda/dbs/130516-165449-monitorix.sql.bz2
/var/hda/dbs/130515-212539-monitorix.sql.bz2
/var/hda/dbs/latest-monitorix.bz2
/var/hda/dbs/130516-210302-monitorix.sql.bz2

and then deleted all of the files and directories it found. Then I reinstalled Monitorix and got the same blank Index of page...

Something odd going on that's for sure. Try installing the app, then try downloading the Monitorix package from here:
http://www.monitorix.org/downloads.html

Install manually and then do as root user do:

Code: Select all

service monitorix restart

Ok, I was gone for a few days... I did what you suggested but I still get the exact same thing. I also saw the "Amahi Web Apps Proxy" and decided to install that. When I try to launch that I get the exact same thing as I get with Monitorix, as if there are no files in the web app folder...

Anything else I can try?

Something odd is definitely going on here. What does the app install log show?

Same for me with Subsonic ... The install logs also look good. But no logs created from Subsonic.

Hard to figure out a problem with no details. Can you provide anything additional?

Ok, so I just installed both of those apps again and here's what's in my log:

Code: Select all

So why is it trying to login? I'm doing this through the Dashboard. It never prompts me to login, so not sure where it's getting the password that is failing...? Any idea why it's not working based on those logs?

Thanks!
Ed

What I am seeing in the log file is the file download is taking to long and timing out. The login you see is for the app to use elevated privileges to run the install script. Nothing to be alarmed about other than the fact it's not working.

Do you have a slow connection? Some times it helps to ensure all network activity is stopped except the HDA for connectivity issues. Then do a reboot before installing the apps. Also might be a good idea to do:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
You don't have to install the updates, just refresh the repo. These packages I believe are locally hosted on Amahi web servers so that is needed to ensure your HDA knows they are there.

Hopefully that will help. If not, then will need to dig a little deeper.

Ok, I did that, rebooted, reinstalled, still same thing. Also, my Subsonic is no longer working now. Every time I try to access it I get this:

HTTP ERROR: 503

SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE
RequestURI=/

So I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled. No change, same error. So things seem to be getting worse... :-(
