ps3 media server

Hi,
is any development being done on ps3 media server. I have a new
samsung smart tv 8000 series and it does not communicate with dlna
server. It seems that there might be hope in using the ps3 media server.
I have a apple tv 2 with xmbc on it connected to the tv but would like to use
the applications in the tv itself to connect to my amahi server.

Will I screw up amahi if I add a repository and then install from it from the command line :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:happy-neko/ps3mediaserver
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ps3mediaserver

The Amahi app is not being worked at this time. It is broken the last I checked.

It's your server, so you can add it from the repo as you indicated. While there is no guarantee it won't cause issues with Amahi, it should be fine. Most just add a few packages and init script.
