Subsonic - how to upgrade to 4.7 ?

I am running the 4.6 app on my HDA but am having a few problems with streaming to the Android app I use (when I select a number of files in an album to play, it plays the first track and tries to download the next track but then the app crashes on me).

Whilst it may be related to streaming over 3G (works okay on WiFi) I'm trying to troubleshoot as much as possible at the HDA end.

Is there an idiot guide someone can give me so that I can update the version I'm using on the HDA to the most current version of Subsonic available ?

Or are there any plans to upgrade the Amahi app ?

Well first we have to know there is a new version available. We monitor many channels, but this one must have slipped by us. We intend to keep all apps up to date whenever possible. If users want to help us keep on track with updates, recommend you file a bug in the issue tracker when applicable.

Just a word of warning for anyone thinking of upgrading to 4.7 - there are well-documented problems on the Subsonic forums with updating to the new version (I had to uninstall the 4.6 app, remove all subsonic folders in the var/ folder, re-install the 4.7 app for it to work) - thankfully I didn't have any playlists saved so it was just a case of rescanning my collection.

The good news is the upgrade to 4.7 fixed my Android problem, so the minor hassle was well worth it

Could you add this to the wiki? It would be beneficial to others. You can create a Subsonic page rather easily.
