I think your expectations are different that what actually occurs in Linux. First of all, ditch gParted and don't use it unless you are formatting drives.
Secondly, drives are mounted in the respective folders /var/hda/files/drives/drive1, drive2, etc . You will not see them on the HDA desktop in the fashion you expect.
You will need to create shares to point to each drive in order to access the files via Samba. This will provide for accessing them via Windows using "run as" and "\\hda".
Accessing files directly from the HDA is a bit different as well, there it's the path and folders to the drive/mount point. If using Greyhole, you will need to install the mount_shares_locally script to prevent corruption of the files.
The wiki provides some guidance on shares that might help. If you are using a non-Windows client, then access to the drives will be different. The wiki covers them as well.
Not sure what "Personal" folders are you talking about, so if you could clarify I will try to answer.

it's the icon underneath the dash, in the english version it has a little house on it. There are appearing the "personal folders" such as drives. Not sure what "Personal" folders are you talking about, so if you could clarify I will try to answer.
There they are, all of them. But how can I use them?drives are mounted in the respective folders /var/hda/files/drives/drive1, drive2
Allready created users to which I like to share it, but I didn't find anything where I can specify the share for each user. I don't want to share them in the hda, to keep the option to unshare it later on again. You will need to create shares to point to each drive in order to access the files via Samba
So I will need to use Samba, is it the Samba / KDE? I found an app in the ubuntu software of a samba client, which (grafically) let you share and unshare files to the network, is that what you'r refering to?
Re: Questions about installing
The Samba client may help. Are you planning on using the HDA as the client? Its best if you do not, but that is your choice.
Recommend you check the wiki guidance on how to use the shares with Linux. This might help.

Re: Questions about installing
Great
Guess I got it...
Installed the samba addon (Samba Server Configuration) and simply shared all the files by using the users I've created. All disks are there and all the files are shared as I want it to
Got fully access through windows, going to try it through the mac later on.
bigfoot65 a big big thanks to you, for leading me through this. Would have propably given up otherwise. (
) is still missing
Guess we're going to see each other here soon again

Nope, it is just for storage and sharing. And as DHCP. It will run (hopefuly) 24/7 in its own rackAre you planning on using the HDA as the client?

Re: Questions about installing
Glad I could help. If there is anything from this that you think would help others, maybe it should be added to the wiki. We would greatly appreciate it if you could do so.
