VPN HDAconnect ok but I can't see my shares

I have tried several times, from different computers and networks outside home.
I don't manage to access my shares from remote locations.

HdaConnect successfully establish connection with my HDA but I never get to see the HDA in windows file explorer.

I make sure that in the remote location not the same IP subnet range is used.

I have tried with computers Windows7 and XP with same result. Always the computers had same workgroup and username as in home.

I have also removed firewall and AV but with same reults.

What I am missing here?

What else can I check?

Have you tried to access shares via the Windows "Run As" option? Enter \\hda or in some instances, it would be \\hda.home.com or whatever your domain name might be.
