IPsec vpn and IPad

I bought and installed ipsec vpn. Configured my ipad to use the vpn. I can connect to the vpn get a confirmation and ip address but cannot see http://hda. When i go to that address i get a "hda is not on this server" page. What do i need to do to remedy this? Thanks

You have to use the long URL address, i.e. http://hda.home.com. Change home.com to whatever domain you set up on install.

Oh ok makes sense now. I will try that tomorrow. So would it be hda.yourhda.com? Thanks.

No...just like you are at home. hda.home.com or whatever your domain is called.

I still can't get it to work. I'm using the domain on the control panel of amahi.org. It says that it is htbrddhome.com. So I tried hda.htbrddhome.com and it goes to a search page. I'm not sure what I'm missing here. Thanks.

Check your actual HDA for the domain name. It is possible that what you have and what amahi.org indicates could be different. If you can access your HDA from a different client, select an app from the dashboard, you will then see your domain name.

I'll check when I get home tonight. But if I look at raccoon.conf. It shows htbrddhome.com just like amahi.org control panel. I know once I type the right address I will be like ahhhhh yea. But right now I'm lost. Thanks.

I just vnc into my hda. Opened Firefox and hda then opened ajaxterm. It shows ajaxterm.htbrddhome.com. So could there be anything else that would not allow the pages to load? Thanks

Is there a firewall possibly where you are using the iPad that might prevent successful connection? Also, check out the wiki page on how to make the connection use your HDA DNS as it might help.
