i think someone started (Shu), however, the process stalled.

if you have done it yourself, then it can most certainly be packaged for inclusion in the amahi app gallery.

the steps to get this done are:
  • document it (wiki is best), so that other people can do it
  • package it, asking help as necessary here in the forums in a separate thread, or coming to the irc channel where a few packaging experts hang out
  • test, test, test
packaging apps is not nearly as hard as it seems. we put a bit too much documentation. the documentation needs some streamlining!

Did you get the answer you needed robrown?
I have same problem with my XBMC - http://xbmc.org. I can see all media att the same time: I see my music in XBMC Pictures-section and my pictures in the XBMC Music-section.

Is it supposed to work like that?

we have not spent the time to properly segregate the various media shares so that ushare sees them.

apparently ushare has support for that, however, it's not working right and ushare crashes when we make different areas for different media.

we had to figure out a work-around for that ...

maybe you guys can help debug/find a better configuration for ushare?
