How to debug my HDA... Networking totally messed up

Postby rbmattis » Fri Mar 30, 2012 9:25 pm

So, on a few occasions, my HDA has stroked out and gone completely unresponsive to any external services, telnet, VNC, SMB, and of the web servers. Also, it's my DHCP server, so when my HDA goes 'dark' it takes my home LAN with it.

When I hook up a monitor, i see that the machine is up, and it can browse the web, seems to require rebooting it to 'fix stuff'

this has happened several times now and I have no idea what the root cause is.

This could be tied to the issue you are having with the RAID setup. The only real way to find out what is going on is to check logs that I know of.

Maybe you should consider doing a new build.

Fedora 16 based build is coming out next month? Probably will wait until then.

I can understand that and would probably do the same myself. We hope to get it done soon, but have been overcome by events lately it seems.
