I thought I was rockin after 4+hours of Fedora/Amahi/Apps and peripheral items installing. Then my final task; transfer all of my music/media files, etc. Wait.....only 49G available? What? Anyway, after some searching I see that Fedora does this automatically on install. The only drive where I need a ton of volume has the least out of the 2.
What's the best way to handle this? Can I change partition volumes without losing all the work I did? I tried to redirect the //hda/music, etc. files to another on the larger partition but not sure I got that right. Doesn't seem to work.
Any suggestions on how to handle this? Did I miss this somewhere on the install instructions?
Thanks
Partition volume on install....can I change it?
Re: Partition volume on install....can I change it?
It's better to customize the partition layout during the initial install.
If you are an adept Linux user, you can boot into a live-CD and modify the partition layouts, but if you are new to Linux, I would recommend re-installing and choose custom disk partitioning.
Check around on the forum, there have been multiple discussions about good partition strategies for Amahi.

Wow, unbelievable. I would consider that pretty critical info to include in the Amahi install instructions. And after further searching, seems to be pretty common. It's better to customize the partition layout during the initial install.
Thanks radioz for the info.
Re: Partition volume on install....can I change it?
Agreed. This is something we should add to ensure there is an option. I prefer no LVM since we have Greyhole integrated and it works best that way as well.
