Multiple Storage Pools - possible and/or worth it?

Apologies if this is a major noob question. Is it possible to have 2 separate Storage Pools made from physically distinct drives?

I am planning a server that contains 6 drives and will be used for a combination of backup and serving media.

I am envisaging pooling 4 of these drives to use as my backup pool with redundancy set for key shares. I am then proposing to separately pool the two remaining drives to use for Media Storage and streaming.

Is this possible and will it work? Is there any advantage in this approach vs just pooling all 6 drives and creating separate backup and media partitions?

Might there be a performance impact of having everything contained in a single pool - particularly if I am simultaneously running backups and streaming media. Would maintaining seperate network interfaces for backup/media streaming make a difference?

In a sense I am trying to include 2 use cases (backup + media streaming) in a single box and figuring out the best way to accomplish it.

I don't believe having multiple storage pools is possible unless you have 2 HDA machines set up.

If you envision backups being done frequently, you might want to have 2 separate machines. Otherwise, you could have all drives pooled and perform both functions on the 1 machine.

This is just my opinion. I would opt for the later and keep things simple.
