Amahi Server won't (re)boot after install (weird error msg)

Just to experiment, I built a completely new HDA under different ID. Tried to install it on same machine but it was a bust in same way as above. Went thru the complete installation down to the last reboot when it hung in the behavior first described above. Logs are no help (to me).

Well so much for the promise of a "trouble free install". I've run out of things to try without some more suggestions/help. Looks like I'll have to abandon plans to use Amahi since I can't make it work for me on standalone system. Still willing to try something but don't know what. Help?
