Howdy Folks
I purchased the Amahi IPSec VPN app and after four days of banging my head against the wall i think i may have finally got it to connect. I've been using my Iphone to test the VPN connection and after setting up my firewall on the HDA to allow ports 500 & 4500 (UDP) to talk to my router which are also set up to port forward 500 & 4500 to my HDA, i've managed to change the connection attempts from CAN'T FIND SERVER to THE VPN SHARED SECRET IS INCORRECT.
I've tried the secret key supplied by the web site link in both capitals & lower case yet still no luck.
As a complete noob to Linux and the Amahi is there a way to changed the secret key on the HDA or is this basically pre-set?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Amahi IPSec VPN - Incorrect Secret Key
Re: Amahi IPSec VPN - Incorrect Secret Key
Spent some more hours playing about with this. Using my iphone as way to test the connection I'm still getting that the Pre Shared Key (Secret Key) is incorrect.
Now if i remove the Port Forwarding set-up on my Router i get that the Server couldn't be found and same if i remove the firewall setting on my HDA. So i'm assuming that it is actually connecting to the server. So as my previous question, can the pre shared key on the HDA be changed?
My router looks after the DHCP all tho must of my stuff have a static IP address on the network, and my router DNS points to 192.168.1.10 which is the IP my HDA is on. Is this correct?
Also can someone confirm the following firewall snap shots are correct for the IPSec VPN.
