Migrate to New Hardware

Postby ListerD » Sun Oct 30, 2011 4:28 pm

I'm currently running Amahi on a repurposed Acer EasyStore 340. I'm considering building a new box with more internal storage and supporting SATA rev 3. Is it possible to migrate my existing pooled drives over to a new system intact? Has anyone done this, or found instructions on how?
Amahi-HDA: Intel Q6600, 6 GB RAM, Radeon HD3870 512 MB video 12 TB storage (SansDigital TowerRaid TR5M+B attached). Fedora14
HTPC: Intel 2700K, 16 GB RAM, Radeon HD6870 1 GB video. Win7 Home Premium x64
Other Systems: 13" Macbook OSX Leopard, IBM t42 Ubuntu 10.10

about a recent hardware upgrade I did.. http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3338

essentially your greyhole pool remains intact as long as you re-create the same shares in the HDA GUI.
