sick beard

Postby mmitchell151 » Wed Aug 31, 2011 11:05 am

I am thinking about installing sick beard on my hda, and was wondering if anyone has done this before or even has any experience with sick beard. I know that a usenet account and SABnzdb are required. But will I need a GUI like Gnome or KDE in order to use Sick Beard? And if so will Gnome or KDE effect the functions and performance of the HDA in anyway?

Thanks

I have sickbeard installed and its great. It downloads all my TV shows for my, and places them into my folders aswell, so they are ready to watch. Completely effortless.

Yes you do need a usent account.

I purchased a block amount from newsdemon.com and also a newzbin account search for the files.

The program is all web based. Which is very nice.

I am looking for that does the exact same thing but uses torrents instead. I know there is couch potatoe and I have installed, but does not work for TV shows.

Hi apastor thansk for the reply. So if it is web based I don't need to worry about installing a GUI on my HDA? And I assume you can configure it to place the downloads into the video share?

Yes both sickbeard and SABnzdb are web based apps. I do not even use my GIU login on my HDA
