password protected webinterface
password protected webinterface
Is it possible to set a password for the setup page (http://hda)?Now every user can change all the settings he wants, just type hda in his browser and he is free to do what ever he pleases. Is there a way to prevent this by setting a password????
Re: password protected webinterface
it's a feature for the next release (i thought we already had a feature request for this, as it has been mentioned several times and agreed as a feature, however, we did not seem to, so i filed one).
in the mean time .. you can take it as do-it-yourself password protection.

Thanks for the quick reply, , everything works fine now
Re: password protected webinterface
i thought i mention two things
- we try to be very very careful about this, however, if you modified the .conf file, it *could* conceivably not work well when we release the feature. you want to check on this often, as it's not supported as of now. furthermore i would disable automatic updates of everythig, including amahi, to prevent something like apache being updated upstream and this not work. *if* it were to break, it would more likely break by not working, rather than just being open.
- you can go to the bug and click on "watch" to get notified of when it's implemented and released.
