Hi,
I am using Fedora 14, platform 6.1.0-1, Core 4.1.1-1
I am having problems with running apps on the system. At the moment I have phprecipiebook, transmission, Wordpress and ajaxterm. They were installed in that order too. So far only phprecipiebook and transmission work sucessfully.
I also tried to install utorrent but that also didnt work and was removed. Something about a missing library that didnt want to work and there was no solution for as yet.
The issue i am having with Wordpress is all the links point to "http://wordpress/" and not "http://wordpress.home.com" Because of this, i am not able to log in to the app or make any changes to it.
Ajaxterm isnt working and gives this error "Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."
All i can say is so much for the 1 click install apps. Also what makes this worse is the fact that i have paid for a couple of these apps. (I know they are beta apps but being available for sale, i thought they would at least install and run)
Apps not working
Re: Apps not working
Please take a look at the /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log for errors with these apps. Sometimes that helps to determine what step to take next.

Re: Apps not working
I have the same issue on F14. Here is the tail-end on my amahi-app-installer.log file. Neither app works when I try the links from the HDA's Installed Apps tab - http://ampache and http://extplorer. Other apps I have installed do work eventually but I cant figure out what finally did it for them - maybe a reboot,

Re: Apps not working
I restarted httpd without any change. here is the error_log output:-
I am using firefox on the hda itself.
Although all web apps get the invalid host name error, only extplorer and ampache still fail. I checked the /etc/httpd/conf.d directory and the include-files for all of the web apps are there and appear OK as far as I can tell. Obviously they are processed when httpd starts up. (calendar does process although the web-app root-dir is empty and I get an apache error saying in my browser I have no access to '/' which is to be expected I think)[Tue Jun 14 15:30:34 2011] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down

Re: Apps not working
Is amahi your DHCP and DNS server? If not, that might cause problems.

Re: Apps not working
Yes, HDA is providing both DHCP and DNS and I'm on the HDA when I'm trying to connect to these web-apps.
I also tried from a Win-XP box, same issue. I tried http://ampache as well as http://ampache.home.com.

Re: Apps not working
Just tried to install Amahi Invaders but can't launch it, even when I try from the HDA itself.

Re: Apps not working
HDA rebooted after a power outage now none of the installed apps will launch! Not a single one!
Is anyone able to help with this issue that affects several of us here?

Re: Apps not working
Hi,
you do not provide enough information to know what could be happening. what type of errors you get, the log information from various log files, etc.
that sort of thing.
also, a power outage may have corrupted files, databases, etc. etc.
this could be from something simple to something rather hard to fix. in both cases, it may be time consuming, most likely.
if you cannot provide much more info, perhaps are interested in custom support. in that case, please visit your account page in the control panel of amahi.org and arrange custom support.

If you could tell me what information you need, I'll certainly provide it.
