Postby c038844 » Sat May 28, 2011 2:49 pm

Hello, from a real neewbie.

I'm about to jump into Amahi and note that Fedora is now at V15. Is Amahi compatible with Fedora 15?

Many thanks, Kevin J

Does any one have the answer to this question?
To cut a long story short i have to redo my server due to house move, upgrading system etc and wondering if it is better to use F15 as opposed to F14.
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

[removed one post and hope this is more useful]

We updated it in the FAQ about Fedora 15.

The answer is
No. Fedora 15 has major changes to the underlying distribution. That can mean instability, which is a major no-no in Amahi. We may wait until Fedora 16 comes along, hence skipping Fedora 15 support.
We treasure stability in Amahi. We have noticed a pattern, where we skip the odd Fedora releases and support the even Fedora releases.

Well then you can say that with any new release of any distro. They are all moving in the same direction?
