I am a recent convert from WHS and in need of a little assistance. I operate a small home automation company in the Atlanta area and for the last few years I have been building large (4-32 TB) for my clients. With the removal of Drive Extender, I have spent the last few weeks researching a replacement and I have settled on Amahi. I am currently working on a small server for a client and there are a few things I can't figure out.
The server I am working on is a retired WHS with an Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 gigs of ram and two 2 terabyte hard drives. I've got Amahi installed and working great as a file server. The web interface from inside the network works great. I would like t make the dashboard work exactly the same way from the internet as it does from inside the network. For example, log on to Amahi from the web and select Ajaxplorer and the graphical file explorer show up. I have spent hours looking over the WiKi and trying different web apps (OpenVPN ALS, Amahi-Web-App-Proxy) trying to accomplish this goal. I'm sure this is possible and probably been discussed at length before but I could not find any threads on it.
The next task I am going to start working on is getting Time Machine to play nicely with Amahi.
Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance.
Anthony

With regards to your last comment:
I only got Time Machine to play nice when I started to serve a portion of my disk over iSCSI.
This meant installing a freeware iSCSI tool on the Mac, configuring your server, configure the Mac and you're done. Note that this setup falls well within the advanced usage of your (Amahi) server.
I still need to write it up some time.
