Tor not working

For some reason, I am unable to use Tor on either Firefox or Internet Explorer on my Windows 7 PC, which is connected to my Amahi-served network. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that Amahi is my DNS server. To be clear, I have the latest Vidalia bundle installed on my Windows machine, but whenever I click "enable Tor button" in Firefox I can no longer connect to any web pages, and when I have the Vidalia bundle running without the Tor button enabled my IP address does not change regardless of how many times I select "use a new identity" in Vidalia.

Please help.

What is Tor? Also, recommend you check with the software web site for this application. We do not have the resources to support apps that are not packaged with Amahi.
