Hello,

If you can SSH into your server, you could see what users exist. Look at the /home area and each user has a directory there. Then, you can run the reset password script for Amahi for the first admin user.

It is in the /var/hda/platform/html/script directory and called reset-user-password. Other than that, there are no other options that I know to gain access.

If you do not know any users/passwords, then you will have to reinstall.

if you don't know the root password anymore:

boot system, as soon as you see the choose screen type "e" to edit the lines.
find the longest line: add "single" (without the quotes).
and follow the instructions on screen (off the top of my head: <enter> <b>)
you should get a prompt. type "passwd" to change your password
echo '16i[q]sa[ln0=aln100%Pln100/snlbx]sbA0D2173656C7572206968616D41snlbxq' | dc

I just installed Amahi, also, but have never been able to log in to the dashboard. I tried my Fedora 14 user and password and my Amahi control panel password to no avail. I am confused how to run the script talked about in this post. I can find the script in fedora but do not know how to reset my password. Any clarification would be appreciated. Rob

Ditto above posts. I should point out that mine is VirtualBox installation in which I installed Guest Additions after building system with Fedora per instructions, etc. Then I installed Guest Additions. Noted that on last reboot had message about dhcp- failing to start. I assume my userid is the one I used to create/setup amahi to begin wtih but it''s not recognized in reset password script.
