So, I wanted to check the status of my Crash Plan backups and attempted to use TightVNC to access my Amahi server. I get an error and am unable to connect. I can access server thru putty and network shares so I know that the server is running (plus I can access the internet as Amahi also runs DHCP). I could connect the server by going to //hda/ so I decided a reboot may be in order. Unfortunately now that I've rebooted, I still cannot connect via vnc and when I go to //hda/ it re-routes me to https://hda:4443/showLogon.do to log into Adito/VPN.
I did a search here and in the wiki and I can't find any info. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Going to //hda/ takes me to my VPN login page
Re: Going to //hda/ takes me to my VPN login page
I'm a little confused about your problem.
Is this just a vpn issue? Or is the problem specifically with CrashPlan?
I don't have experience (yet) with vpn. You might find other posts dealing with this by doing a search.
If it is a CrashPlan problem, you can just use 'ssh -X <ip of your hda>' and then type 'CrashPlanDesktop' to get the CrashPlan gui. The gui is not integrated into Amahi.
Sorry if I have misunderstood your question.

Re: Going to //hda/ takes me to my VPN login page
Hi Radioz,
Sorry for the confusion. When in my web browser (FF/IE/Chrome) if I type //hda/ I should connect to my HDA to log in and administer it. Now when I type //hda/ it takes me to the VPN page (Adito is the VPN Server).
I am also unable to connect via TightVNC to manage my HDA via GUI rather than just with the command line on Putty (an ssh client- I can connect with Putty).
I discovered all this when I went to use my VNC client to log in to check the status of my Crash Plan backup. Crash Plan (as far as I can tell, has nothing to do with the problem)

Re: Going to //hda/ takes me to my VPN login page
No problem.
One thing is not clear to me. When you are trying to access your hda, are you on a system that is inside your network, or are you trying to access it from outside?
A small point but:
Sorry I can't offer much help. I hope you have checked out the Troubleshooting pages in the wiki http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Main_Pa ... leshooting.
Good luck!

Re: Going to //hda/ takes me to my VPN login page
Hi Radioz,
Yes, the computer I was using was inside my network, it is a machine I usually on a regular basis running Win7.
The problem of not being able to connect to the HDA from a web browser, at least for now, resolved itself with a second re-boot. I'm still unable to access the HDA from VNC, I'll use putty to check my settings/re-set it all up.
I'll post back if I find anything out of the ordinary.
