It is not recommended that you deactivate it. All the linux profile/settings data for that user is maintained in that directory.

If you just do not want to see it when you do \\hda, then you could possibly remove it from displaying with Samba, but that is not supported with Amahi.

You would need to use Webmin or install a Samba front end on the Fedora desktop to do it. You could do it command line, but that should only be done by advanced users.

Why do you want to deactivate it?

Thx, it works.
I have edited the samba.conf and deleted the "Home"-Entry.
I need this solution, because some users should only read files.
Another point is the use of greyhole with the home-dir.

Another option would be to add the user share to the Amahi Share via dashboard. Then you can control the read/write and if they are visible too.

Editing the conf file may only be temporary. Amahi generates that file, so when it is regenerated it will remove any changes you made to it via command line. Adding the share via the Dashboard is fairly straight forward and probably the best solution for what you need.

Awesome...thought that might work better. We probably need to add that to the wiki....if it is not already there.
