Sticky Files

Postby klauswirn » Sat Dec 18, 2010 3:38 pm

Hi
one question about the sticky files.

Do i have to use the "tags" name at the sticky files in the config?

sticky_files = Videos/Movies/
stick_into = /mnt/hdd1/gh
stick_into = /mnt/hdd5/gh
sticky_files = Backups/CrashPlan/
stick_into = /mnt/hdd0/gh

I have no idea what you're asking exactly, but:
1. You should never edit greyhole.conf directly. It should say so at the beginning of the file:

Code: Select all

[gb@hda ~]$ head /etc/greyhole.conf # This file is automatically generated by Amahi on Mon Nov 29 17:15:14 -0500 2010 # Any manual changes WILL BE OVERWRITTEN! # Set the defaults (carefully) in /var/hda/platform/html/config/greyhole.yml ...
2. In greyhole.yml, there is an URL where sticky files configuration is better explained.
You need to specify the share name, then optionally directories names.
The default "Music/" is a share name.

Code: Select all

greyhole --balance
will take care of moving sticky files together.
